Before the holidays I decided to try something new and blogged about Portrait Parties. I am thrilled to let everyone know that portrait parties were a success. I thought I would share some of the beautiful families and children that I had the pleasure to photograph. What a busy end of year 2009 ended up being. I am just finally getting caught up. I have a fabulous contest that I am taking part in that I will be announcing in the next few days. And yes, I’ll finally be announcing the winner of the last contest. As well, I will be posting some images from some of the sessions that I’ve been so busy with. To start with I had to share baby “G”. What a little sweetheart. EMAILPOSTFacebookPOSTTweetPOSTWhat is a portrait party? It is a fun way to get fine art portraits at a fantastic price. You invite your friends and have a great time while everyone takes turns having their children or family photographed.
Where do we have the party? The party can be held at your home. That means I bring the lights, backdrop and props to your home and set everything up there. You will need to have a closed off area large enough for me to set up my on-location studio. If this is not feasible for you then you are welcome to host your party at my home-studio. Do you provide the invitations? An online invite you can email to your guests will be provided by me. Is there a minimum number of people required? Yes, you will need to have at least 5 guests not including the hostess. How long is the session and how many images do we receive? Each guest is given a ½ hour time slot. Each guest will receive a gallery with 10-15 images for them to choose from. How many people can we include in the session? You may include up to 5 people from your immediate family. There is a $10 charge per additional person. What is a reservation fee? In order to secure a portrait session at the party each guest will need to pay $30 to reserve the spot. This reservation fee is then converted to a print credit after the session. What will this cost? The reservation fee is converted to a print credit so essentially the session is free to your guests. They will also receive 20% off my regular print prices and 10% off canvasses. Special collection pricing is also available exclusively for portrait parties and collections start at $75. The host/hostess of the party will receive a free session and further credits and bonuses. When do we receive our images? Within 2 weeks of your portrait party, each guest will receive a link to a password protected private online gallery. The gallery will be available to them for 1 week to choose their images. Once payment is received, orders will be ready within 2-3 weeks.
